It’s taken me a while I must admit to post this as I’m not good at boast posts about myself…other than about my swimming of course 😂😂
I was absolutely gobsmacked but absolutely delighteted to be nominated by members at our Cromer Slimming World group for the SW Woman of the Year award in August 2018 and again this week in August 2019 😍😍😍
We were asked to vote for a person who had not necessarily lost the most weight or was at target but in SW’s words “the inspirational lady who is bubbling with new-found confidence, passionate about Food Optimising and your group, and inspires others on their journey to a slimmer, happier future!!”
I was so shocked when my name was read out and I had won the award in 2018 and was runner up today in 2019!! I never thought for one minute it was going to be me, I hadn’t even washed my hair that day 😳😬🙄. All I could say was NO WAY and then burst into tears! I am truly grateful to be part of such a successful and fantastic group, met some lovely supportive people who are now friends and have just the best consultant in Jane Keil who runs the group who along with John Taylor has motivated and encouraged me every week when needed without fail ❤️
That’s 2 stone 4.5lb gone forever! ❤️
Congratulations to Stevie who took my crown today, very well deserved! You have had an amazing journey losing 7.5 stones (this year?) and look incredible xx

It was quite choppy in the pool as there were a lot of good swimmers hammering along! Felt good to be able to still swim at a reasonable speed for me against the waves. Did a few tumble turns at the end, think I looked like a sinking ship as my new knee doesn’t want to tuck up 😂😂
Aspire has given us swim names this year ☺️☺️ I’m still a bit behind but ‘Trident Tested’ will catch up….I’ve swum 7.15 miles of the 22 mile channel distance in 7 sessions, ok with that.
Thank you to everyone single person supporting me and Aspire, whether that’s by encouraging comments or a donation both are very welcome xxx

DAY 6 – swam a fabulous 70 lengths (a mile and a bit) in 1 hour exactly today, getting back to what I could swim in an hour during last years swim 👏🏊🏻♀️😁
DAY 7 – didn’t swim today as have been doing lots of sneezing again since Monday!! Hope to be back in there on Friday, fingers crossed as I need the water!

So thankful and proud xxx
First time I’ve swam on 3 consecutive days ever 🤞🤞🤞xxx
DAY 3 Wed 19th Sept – swam 50 lengths in 45 mins (first day for a week cos of sneezing episode and all was good…phew!) My fitbit battery ran out at 33 lengths oooops!!
DAY 4 Thurs 20th – swam 50 lengths in 41 mins
DAY 5 Fri 21st – swam 68 lengths in 59 minutes, felt like I was swimming in treacle today but not a bad time ☺️
Loving my Fitbit Ionic measuring my swimming 😁😁 xx
Disaster – can’t swim until Wednesday, a week without swimming 😬😳
Been to GP about the sneezing and she has said definitely an allergic reaction to something at the pool as it happened so quickly after coming out. Increased my antihistamines and feeling much better after a few days.
Spoken to the pool manager who kindly checked the water reports they do every 2 hours back to last Monday and all ok. They haven’t changed anything they put in water and all automated so no manual errors could have happened. He thinks it’s more likely someone in pool without showering and strong perfume, aftershave or body spray caused the reaction. Fingers crossed for when I get back in ☺️ X
Look what is in the Aspire welcome brochure for the 2018 Channel Challenge 🏊🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️
It’s sent out to everyone in their welcome pack once they’ve registered for this year’s swim…that’s probably over 5,000 people…
Aspire said “Your story is a great inspiration to others, and I’m sure it will give people a real boost this year!
Another proud moment 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
